Today is the 5th beadsoup blog hop...

I'm hopping but have no soup on my burner....

So instead of Soup I have a work in progress.... Playing with some of my new enameled headpins!  This did not start out as a bird....  I'm still tossing around ideas on how to fill in the wing....  The piece has loops on both ends so will become part of a neckpiece....

Would love to see some creative  comments

Size just over 4 inches/ 10 cm loop to loop.

That's a very pretty design. How big is it? Is it going to be a pendant?

oooo, pretty, sure looks like something I would wear. Not sure about what to do with the wings. Not sure I would do much, as to not take away from the head area. Maybe play that down and play up this tail? I can't wait to see what the finished product looks like. Be sure to post it on facebook.

As for it not starting out as a bird...projects that have their own voice and tell you what they want to be are just the BEST!

The headpins are lovely. How about some sparkles leading to more enamel. Small gemstones or even some of your seed beads for a textural change?

Nice :) Amazing how some of the bets things comes about on their own without you ever meaning for them to turn out that way? lol

As for filling in the wing... I don't know if I'd fill it in... maybe just pick our some seed beads that go with the other beads all ready on him, then wire wrap them around the wing wires to outline them..?
